How harmful is dog waste, if left in my yard?
Dog waste can contain harmful bacteria like E. coli and Salmonella, as well as parasites like roundworms and hookworms, which can spread to humans and pets.

Can it effect the water I drink?
Rain washes dog waste in local storm drains which travels into nearby waterways that ends up our lakes, streams, and marine waters, that eventually makes its way to our faucets. Yuck!

Dog waste left in yards soon become food for such pests as rats, mice, racoons, flies, and even foxes. All of these have the potential to carry very dangerous diseases.
